Divergent trailer!
It's finally here!
If you didn't catch the MTV VMAs on Sunday, you might not have seen the first Divergent trailer. Fear not! I have it here for you.
Personally, I hate the way the trailer is edited (too much fade in, fade out), but I'm still excited anyway, especially with the sets. They look incredible!!
What do you think? Excited yet?

Whisper war, really?
If you were watching the Superbowl yesterday, you might have seen this Oreo commercial. While I wish this view of the library wasn't so very outdated (I promise we won't call the cops if you speak in a normal voice, but we may if you flip over a table), the commercial is pretty funny.
(OREO hasn't paid me to promote their product but if they want to send me free cookies, I'm all for that)

History of Nintendo
I'm proud to say that I definitely owned a NES when I was a kid, long before your time so when I stumbled across a video of the history of all Nintendo consoles, it brought me back.
Check out this 2 min video of all Nintendo products and how they've changed. The graphics in it are really sweet.
Did you know you can borrow Wii and WiiU games right here at the library? Check out what we've got here. You can borrow games for a week, just like movies.
Happy gaming!

Don't interrupt me - I'm reading a book!
You know that moment when you're reading and your mom or best friend or girl/boyfriend or even your boss tries to talk to you and you're almost done the chapter and the main character is about to save the world/get kissed/kick butt and all you want to say is, 'Can you come back in five minutes?'
This song is for you.
Happy Friday :) I hope your loooong weekend is filled with uninterrupted reading.

Comic Books to Movies!
It looks like the silver screen is going to explode with comic book movies! Green Hornet, Green Lantern, Thor, X-Men: First Class, Captain America... which are you most excited for? (Or not really into comic book movies at all?)
The thing about comic book movies is that even if they're super bad (and let's face it, inevitably some of them are), they're usually at least entertaining. I've never actually walked out of a comic book movie (but then again, I've never seen Wolverine, so... ).
I'm most looking forward to X-Men: First Class. I've been an X-Men fan since my brother and I used to go to the local mall and play the arcade game. We used to watch the original animated series (which I just realized you can get from the library here. Have I mentioned I love the library lately?) and I'd steal his comics and doodle Nightcrawler in class. Those were the days.
X-Men: First Class has some awesome actors in it and looks super entertaining from it's first trailer. Take a look:
Click on the other titles above to take a look at their trailers (and don't forget that if you want to brush up on your super hero knowledge before you hit the movie theater, you know where to go. And if you don't I can spell it out: H - P - L).

Goodbye Exams!
From what I understand, exams are over for you guys now! Hoorah! To celebrate, do a little dance and take a well-deserved break.
I came across this youtube video a while ago and was reminded of it recently when I saw how many of you use the library for studying.
It's a spoof on the Old Spice ads and it's super well done - not to mention hilarious.
Have a great weekend, scholars!
