We don't have what you want?

If you're disappointed that you can't get a book/manga/cd/movie/whatever from the library, why not request it for purchase? We take your suggestions really seriously and do the best we can to purchase books that you want to read. It's easy to miss books when we're doing our purchasing (and sometimes books go missing and we don't notice) so you're doing us a favour by bringing it to our attention.

That being said, if the book is super old or out of print, I may not be able to purchase it. In that case, you might be better off requesting it through Interlibrary Loan (AKA a system that checks around with other library systems to see if they have the book you want). 

After you've requested a book for purchase, check the catalog a few weeks later and see if it's been added. We don't place holds automatically for purchase requests so you won't be notified if your book is purchased. Make sure you check back!
