Okay let's talk about round two. Any surprises? Any disappointments? I have to admit that you broke my heart when you voted off Paranormalcy but I'm impressed it was that close.
Here are our final eight titles. Voting starts Monday so you have the weekend to convince whoever you need to convince to vote for your title!

There was some really close voting in round one but at last we have our round one champions!

(psst! If you click on the covers, it makes them bigger)
You will only have one day to vote for these so make sure to check back and make sure your favourite titles make the cut.
Without further ado, today's matches! Vampires vs. Werewolves!

March Madness!
Two major trends are dominating teen books - paranormal (think Twilight) and dystopian (think Hunger Games) but only one trend can rule them all! (Actually that's blatently untrue but I still thought it would be fun to match them up and have them fight it out).
First we'll put paranormal titles head to head and dystopian titles head to head, then when there are only two titles standing, a dystopian and a paranormal title, we'll see who the ultimate winner is. Think of it as a warm-up for the Next Top Novel.
For the paranormal matches, I paired up two books in each category (so two vampire books, two werewolf books, etc.). For the dystopian matches, I did the more traditional March Madess bracket and ordered the books 1 to 16 and paired up 1 vs. 16, 2 vs. 15, and so on. The books were ranked on amazon ratings and how popular they were at the library (holds, how many times they'd been checked out, etc.).
This is how it shook out:
(I made this mini poster using Glogster, if you haven't tried it, it's really easy to use. It's also what I used to make the March Madness image above)
Voting starts March 1 (that's a week from now) with Twilight vs. Marked and Hunger Games vs. Inside Out!
