Catching Fire!

Just wanted to pop in to say... I saw Catching Fire and I loved it! If you get a chance to see it in theaters, I'd recommend it. A (spoiler-free) things I loved:

• the casting - I thought the new characters were cast perfectly, especially Sam Claflin as Finnick. 
• the acting! It's phenomenal. Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss is just pitch perfect. She's such a goofy person in real life, it's hard to believe that she is such a perfect Katniss
• the special effects/makeup - there's a moment in which a few characters are injured and it was so realistic and scary.
• staying true to the book - I thought it was a great adaptation over all. I haven't read the book in like two years, so I'm probably not the best person to speak to this but everything I remembered was in the movie. There wasn't a moment I was really disappointed not to see.

Are you excited yet? I can't believe it doesn't open until November 22. I don't think I can wait that long, seriously.

Waiting on Wednesday

It's the last Hunger Games Waiting on Wednesday!  It's weird to think that this time next week I'll have already seen the movie. Waiting on Hunger Games (still!)

In today's Waiting on Wednesday, I thought I'd highlight a couple recent Hunger Games-related things...

First off, some bad news. The nail polish line that was going to happen is no more! Sad. See the details here. They look so pretty too!

But in good news, Lionsgate (the studio behind the movie) has launched a couture blog! Check out & drool over the gorgeous fashions here. The face of the blog? None other than Effie, of course!

Can you imagine wearing that to class? Gorgeous!
