Review: Water Wars

The Water Wars by Cameron Stracher

When Vera meets Kai at the bus stop one morning, she has no idea how her and her brother, Will’s lives will be altered. Kai and his father have found reservoirs of water, and in a time when there is a shortage of fresh water this makes them rich. One day, however, they’ve suddenly disappeared. Vera and Will decide to undertake a rescue mission but little do they know they’re about to go on an adventure they never expected.

The Water Wars was a really good book. I loved how the author added the little details about how water affects us in ways we don’t think about. The pacing was perfect and the action was great. I didn’t want to put it down, particularly as it got closer to the end. I think Cameron did a fantastic job at making the characters relatable, portraying their emotion through the pages and creating an all too realistic world. All together, it was a great book and I recommend it to anyone who loves action and adventure.
