What's the deal? Okay, so basically this hobbit (who is a bit smaller than a dwarf and much smaller than a man) goes on a journey which a company of dwarves to get their mountain back from a dragon. It's your typical fantasy quest thing, but it was written before it was typical. It's technically a kids book but I think teens will like it too.
Why should I read it now? Well, if you have your tickets to see the movie on Friday like some people (okay, me), then I found it was a nice refresher. The movie has a lot more plot than the book and it was interesting to see where it pulls in the other plot lines and characters from. It's not as intense as Lord of the Rings either, so don't be afraid! Dig in!
