With summer over, I thought I'd get back in the habit of giving you the heads up about interesting books coming out soon. This one has been talked about a lot lately and despite never reading anything by the author, I'm pretty excited about Daughter of Smoke and Bone.the premise: It sounds like pretty standard fairy book fare: Girl who has weird quirks wants to find out more about where she comes from but accidentally gets involved in an otherworldly war. There is of course a bonus romance factor too.
why I'm dying to read it: To be honest, all the reviews have been crazy enthusiastic. Even the reviewers who are never excited are super excited! It's been a while since I've read a fairy series (I think the last one was Melissa Marr's series) Plus it's set in Prague which is never a bad place to take a literary vacation.
how long I have to wait: Not too long! It's being released the end of the month.
while you're waiting check out: I've seen comparisons to Melissa Marr's Wicked Lovely and Holly Black's Tithe. They're both fantastic books so check them out.
