What would you do if you died and the love of life didn't? That's the question Jana tries to answer in Dead Rules by Randy Russell.
the premise: Jana dies in a freak bowling accident and ends up in Dead School. Because Jana and her boyfriend Michael were oh so in love, she's sure he'll commit suicide to join her. When he doesn't, she hatches a plan to kill him so they can be reuinited.
why I'm dying to read it: It sounds a bit like The Ghost and the Goth by Stacie Kade which I loved, and one review called it "wickedly clever" and another review said it was "A dark, macabre tale peopled with quirky characters". You know how I feel about quirky characters (hint: I love them). It's getting such good reception that I thought it might be a darkly funny read.
how long I have to wait: It's out later this month, June 21st!
while you're waiting, check out: Ghost and the Goth by Stacie Kade which was really funny and sweet (and probably not as dark as Dead Rules).
