Unless you've been living under a rock, you probably know that we had an election earlier this week. A lot of new people came into parliament, especially NDP representatives, some who have never been in parliament before. One of these new NDP representatives is not that much older than you - he's 19!
Pierre-Luc Dusseault is the youngest ever elected member of parliament. He just finished his first year of Political Science and now he gets to be in parliament. Crazy!
You can read an interview with him here in the Globe & Mail. He talks about how he became a candidate and what issues he wants to focus on in parliament.
So, there you have it. Never too young to get involved in politics and of course you're never too young to change the world.
What do you think? Do you like the idea of having younger people in parliament or would you rather have someone with lots of experience?
