Throwback Thursday: Warriors by Erin Hunter

Today's Throwback Thursday is brought to you by one of our regular reviewers, Sarah! I love that she's chosen a 'kids' book that teens love too. Check it out below.

Throwback Thursday

Warriors by Erin Hunter

When did it debut? 2003

What's the deal? It's a popular children's book series which focuses on four clans of wild cats who live in a forest who battle, hunt, and go on adventures. The main character in the first series (who remains a prominent character in the next three series of Warriors) goes on a sort of coming-of-age story as he's chooses the warrior world in place of being a house-cat and shows his fellow clan-mates that he is just as strong as any of them. It's one of my favourite series, the series is still continuing today and I still read it!

Why should I read it now? While the recommended ages is for 9-12 I disagree with it. The books are fantastic, emotional, and filled with so many characters you can't help but find a favourite! It's a bit like Redwall or Silverwing, it's nostalgic and a very well-written story!
