This week's book is part of a series that I love by Meg Cabot - the Abandon series. There's lots to love about this series - mythology, awesome writing and one seriously swoonworthy bad boy.
the premise: Abandon is a remix of the Persephone myth - only Pierce is a teen girl and Death is the aforementioned swoonworthy bad boy. If Pierce wants to be with him, she has to go down to the underworld. Once the Furies realize that John (AKA Death) has broken the rules by reviving a human, he's in big trouble though and there's only one way to restore the natural order - someone must die (dun dun dun!)
why I'm dying to read it: I really loved the first book in the series and the second book is definitely high on my to-read. There's an awesome chemistry between the characters and I found how Meg Cabot changed the myth really interesting.
how long I have to wait: July!! Which gives me lots of time to read book two before this one comes out!
