Most Excited For!

2013 is going to be an awesome year for books. Here are some of the ones I'm most excited about!

  • The new Divergent book by Veronica Roth is supposedly out in 2013 which is super exciting. No cover yet, but I'm sure it'll be gorgeous.
  • Rising by Kelley Armstrong - More paranormal action goodness!
  • Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black - this one isn't out until September and is apparently a twist on the vampire genre. I'm rather sick of vampires, but Holly Black is one of my favourites so looking forward to this.
  • Just One Day by Gayle Forman - this one looks like more of what she does best - tear jerker drama. I'm not normally into that sort of thing but she does it so well. Excited to bring out the kleenexes.
  • Madness Underneath by Maureen Johnson - the sequel to The Name of the Star about a Jack the Ripper copycat murderer, I'm excited to see where the story will go next. Rory is back in London and ghostbustin'!
  • House of Hades by Rick Riordan - I still haven't read Mark of Athena but I'm still excited for the next one. Can't get enough Percy Jackson!

  • Prodigy by Marie Lu - don't hate me but I actually have an advanced copy of this one and am enjoying it so far. I felt like Legend had the potential to be a much bigger story and in Prodigy, it's finally starting to get big.
  • Scarlet by Marissa Meyer - I love fractured fairy tales (remember Dust City?) so thrilled that there is more Cinder-verse books coming.
  • Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins - Nobody does fluffy rom-com like Stephanie Perkins and I have to admit that I love it! They're just feelgood awesome books that you curl up with on a rainy day. Definitely check out her others if you haven't.
  • Days that End in Y by Vikki Vansickle - Can't wait to read more about Benji and Clarissa. Vikki writes awesome contemporary fiction with really relateable characters and I'm sure this one will be no exception.
Phew! What did I forget?
