Waiting on... Wednesday

I love getting mail - who doesn't - so it was such a treat to come home to find a little envelope with my name on it. I didn't recognize the return address but when I opened it it was a little envelope of seeds! Puzzled, I turned it over and it said something like (it's at home, so I can't check) Coming Soon: All You Get Is Me by Yvonne Prinz. I adored Vinyl Princess so had signed up for Yvonne's website and she sent me seeds. How cool is that?
To be fair, this would have shown up on a Wednesday at some point because I'm really excited for her next book, All You Get Is Me, but getting that little package helped jog my memory.

the premise:  Roar is pulled out of school in the city to go live with her father on an organic farm. She passes the time selling their produce at the market and developing photos in the shed. It sounds a bit like a coming-of-age type story and I have a feeling there's probably a boy involved too.

why I'm dying to read it: I found Yvonne Prinz's narrative voice to be spot on. I definitely enjoyed her last novel and am looking forward to meeting another strong-willed young woman. While the publishers description is a bit lack-luster, I think this is a case of poor marketing, not poor storytelling.

how long I have to wait: Until mid-December, which isn't so far away (yikes!).
